This June, we took one week to debate with our partners across Europe the value of medical technology for patients, healthcare systems and society at large.

MedTech Week’ took place from 19 to 23 June for the third year running. Member companies and national associations joined efforts to showcase in Europe and beyond how medical technologies can save and improve people’s lives.

MedTech Week served as the platform to gather a wide range of views on a variety of areas, from diabetes [1] [2] [3] [4] [5], obesity, antimicrobial resistance to access to healthcare. This entire week saw a praiseworthy engagement not only from the industry, but also from various external partners who shared their views on the needs in healthcare and the role of medical technologies: academia, hospitals, NGOs and caregivers. The debates reached audiences beyond Europe, for example, Chenel Trevellini, a registered nurse from New York, who shared her views on Preventing pressure ulcers with proper patient turning and positioning.

It is our ambition as medtech industry to extend and deepen the dialogue with all different healthcare stakeholders in order to learn from each other and ultimatelyexplore new needed ways to deliver healthcare in the future. This is the only way forward to address the huge health challenges that lie ahead of us!

The wealth of ideas and valuable opinions proves the success of the third ‘MedTech Week’ edition. We gathered all activities across Europe in one place, so click here to find out what happened in your country throughout the week and read all the perspectives that our stakeholders put forward.
