Brussels, 11 October 2013 – The Board of Directors of EDMA, the European In Vitro Diagnostics Manufacturers Association, has announced today that Dr. Jürgen Schulze, EDMA President and CEO and President of SYSMEX EMEA, has been re-elected EDMA President.
Dr. Schulze has become a member of the EDMA board in 2003 and was elected as the Association's President in 2009. In a career spanning more than 20 years in in vitro diagnostics, he has held several business functions in the IVD industry, mainly linked to Merck AG and Bayer Diagnostics, both in Europe and the USA and since 1995 in SYSMEX.
“I am honoured that the EDMA Board is giving me the privilege to continue my work as EDMA’s President. I firmly believe in the great potential in vitro diagnostics hold for Europe and will continue to make that message resonate among our stakeholders,” Jürgen Schulze commented on his re-election.
“These are critical times for our industry and with Jürgen’s re-election as President EDMA is well-equipped to continue serving our membership and promoting the value in vitro diagnostics have to offer.
