This webinar will zoom in on digital diabetes care currently in action in Europe today. Paper co-author Professor John Nolan will lead a panel discussion that explores how practitioners are bridging the gap between the current realities in diabetes care and the digitally enabled future envisioned in the paper.

Early registration is now open.

The first webinar, held on 15 September, had over 100 attendees tune in to hear paper Professor John Nolan moderate an engaging panel discussion with Member of the European Parliament Christel Schaldemose, IDF Europe Regional Chair Dr Niti Pall, Chair of ‘Digitalisation’ Committee of the German Diabetes Society Prof Dr. med. Dirk Müller-Wieland, and Diabetes Sector Group Chair Slobodan Radumilo.

This two-part webinar series seeks to unpack the key findings of the paper ‘A Vision for Digitally Enabled Diabetes Care in Europe,’ available for download here. Drawing upon in-depth interviews with a range of experts, including people with diabetes, clinicians and healthcare professional organisations, this vision paper gathers insights on the latest healthcare trends and developments, and what they mean for the future of diabetes care. Topics explored include the role digitisation in empowering people with diabetes and improving quality of care, the implications of a digital transformation for different stakeholders in the field of diabetes, and key challenges that remain.
