The 2nd European Value-Based Procurement Conference “Partners for sustainable and high-quality healthcare” took place virtually on 1st December 2020, for thought and practice leaders to discuss the journey in this critical emerging area of transforming healthcare. As it was the case for the first edition of the conference in 2019, the event was organised by the Value-Based Procurement Community of Practice (VBP CoP) and supported by EHPPA (European Health Public Procurement Alliance), EUREGHA (European Regional and Local Health Authorities) and MedTech Europe.

The three founding members of the VBP CoP, EHPPA, BCG and MedTech Europe, presented to the 250 participants the VBP CoP mission and vision and indicated the opportunity to access all its materials online on its official library page. A specific focus was put on the English version of the guidance “Understanding value-based procurement: a new approach” recently completed by Resah, (a public interest group for the professionalization of purchasing in the health sector and a future VBP CoP knowledge partner), which is now also available in the CoP library. There will be a full public report from the conference in 2021.
