The European UDI regulations are rapidly approaching, and the expected Eudamed go-live date is May 2020.

Although we are awaiting more clarity from the European Commission, there are many systems that manufacturers must put in place, and external partners to be sourced before the deadline. Furthermore, the EU is not allowing a grace period for the deadline therefore preparations must start now.

What steps can we take now to lay the foundations for compliance and reduce the risk of potentially catastrophic delays – or even penalties in 2020?

The European UDI Forum 2019 will provide answers to many of these questions by bringing together manufacturers, regulators and healthcare providers to specifically discuss the best approaches to UDIs, at a time when it is needed most.
