Rob ten Hoedt is Executive Vice President & President, Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) and a member of Medtronic’s Executive Committee.  Mr. ten Hoedt has been with Medtronic since 1991 and has over 25 years of experience in the medical device industry. Leading up to this position, he has held several different leadership roles in Medtronic.  He led the CardioVascular business for Europe & Central Asia and the Gastro-Uro business on a global basis before which he ran the wholly-owned Medtronic subsidiary Company, Vitatron.  Prior to Medtronic, he held different positions in medical technology companies such as Arjo Hospital Equipment and Polystan Benelux; and also ran his own Distributor Company for several years.  He is the Chairman of the Board of MedTech Europe, the Association representing the medical technology industry in Europe. Rob holds a degree in Commercial Economy from the H.E.A.O. and a Masters in Marketing from the NIMA Business School in the Netherlands.

Stuart Silk began his career with Stryker, a leading global medical technology company, in 2008 as Managing Director of France. Dr Meinrad Lugan has an university degree in chemistry (Dipl. Prior to becoming Head of EMEA for Siemens Healthineers Diagnostics, Alex served as EVP and Chief Commercial Officer at Ortho Clinical Diagnostics, where he managed the carve-out, global standup, and return to performance of Ortho under private equity ownership. Daniela Delledonne serves as Vice-President & General Manager BD Biosciences EMEA. She joined BD in 2014 and for seven years she was General Manager for Italy & Greece. She is a member of the BD EMEA Leadership Team.

Daniela Delledonne prior to BD worked three years for Hill-Rom as Managing Director in Italy, twelve years for Medtronic leading various business units at country level and leading strategic projects at international level, three years for Sorin Biomedical Cardio as global upstream product manager and two years in Covidien in sales. Daniela has been twice chairman of Medical Device Trade Association Assobiomedica, and most recently for 2 years she held the position of Vice President Strategies and Market Development at Confindustria Dispositivi Medici.

Daniela holds an Executive diploma from the Wharton Business School of Philadelphia, a diploma in Leadership from the Glasgow Caledonian University, a Master in Business Management from Cattolica University of Milan & ISTUD Business School, and a “best honors degree” in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies from Parma University.

Bill Doherty is a long-serving board member and former chair of the Irish Medtech Association. He currently chairs the IMA’s Code of Ethics Committee and leads its PR Taskforce. Bill served on the board of Eucomed during its merger with EDMA to form Medtech Europe and is currently a member of the Code Taskforce (Hypercare Team) established by Medtech Europe’s board to advise on Code implementation. Bill believes in the importance of national association participation at European level and has encouraged the Irish Medtech Association to become highly engaged with Medtech Europe through the different working groups. At national level, the Irish Medtech Association has been a key catalyst in fostering a vibrant medtech environment in Ireland directly employing 38,000 people, which is the highest per-capita in the EU and 6th largest in terms of absolute employment numbers.
