A look back at The MedTech Forum 2025
Posted on 05.06.2025
In May 2025, Lisbon hosted The MedTech Forum 2025, Europe’s largest gathering for the medical technology industry. Over the course of three dynamic days – 13 – 15 May 2025 – nearly 1,000 leaders and professionals from industry, healthcare, academia, and policy came together to explore the evolving landscape of medical technology and its role in shaping healthier societies.
Organised by MedTech Europe in collaboration with national partners Apormed and Apifarma, this year’s forum served as a unique meeting ground for decision-makers and experts looking to align on a shared goal: making healthcare more accessible, efficient and sustainable.
The programme featured more than 60 sessions covering a broad range of topics: from digital transformation and regulatory evolution to sustainability and patient-centred care. Highlights included the CEO #nofilter panel, where senior executives discussed leadership in uncertain times, and a series of “Ask the Expert” sessions that offered attendees the chance to engage directly with specialists on key issues affecting the sector.
Discussions frequently returned to the need for collective action across healthcare systems, industry players and regulators to ensure Europe remains a leader in medical innovation while addressing growing pressures on healthcare delivery.
Looking ahead, it was officially announced that the next edition of The MedTech Forum will take place in Stockholm from 11 to 13 May 2026. The countdown has already begun.
