Ghada Farah is the Senior Vice President for Terumo Interventional Systems in EMEA, driving the interventional cardiology, peripheral and oncology businesses since 2021. With over 25 years’ experience in the medical technology industry, across developed and emerging markets, multinationals and SMEs, she has held several leadership roles at Medtronic where she spent 20 years leading businesses such as CRHF, Aortic and Peripheral, Coronary and Diabetes. Previously, Ghada has worked in medtech SMEs. Ghada has delivered value to both her business and to patients with a successful track record in managing businesses of 1B$+ from strategic vision to full execution. Ghada is deeply committed to patient-centric solutions; through servant leadership; fostering collaborative cultures and innovation rooted in diversity, equity, and inclusion. In 2021, she co-founded the DE&I Council at Terumo EMEA, following her earlier establishment and co-chairing of the Medtronic Women Networks in the MEACAT region. Her motivation to join the board of MedTech Europe stems from her sheer desire to contribute to accelerating patients’ access to responsible innovation in EMEA, and navigating the green and digital transformation with and on behalf of the members. Ghada holds a Master of Science in Computer & Software engineering with a focus in AI and Digital Imaging from EERIE, France, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and an Executive MBA from ESCP, France.

Stuart Silk is President of Stryker, one of the world’s leading medical technology companies, since 2015. In his role, Stuart oversees the regions Europe, EEMEA (Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa), Latin America and Canada with focus on accelerating global growth through implementation of new operating models, strategies and capabilities. He joined Stryker in 2008 as a Managing Director of France. Stuart has been a member of the MedTech Europe Board since 2015 and its Vice-Chair since 2021. He’s also been an active member of the Board Task Force on Sustainability, since 2022. Stuart is a World 50 member. Stuart has a broad business career with nearly 30 years of experience across medical technology, logistics and electronics industries. He has held a variety of leadership and managerial roles in Europe and Latin America at Premier Farnell and CHEP. Stuart holds a degree in Management Studies from University of Leeds.

Gavin Wood has been Company Group Chairman of Johnson & Johnson MedTech EMEA since January 2022. Gavin has held many different leadership roles in the organisation during his 18 years at the company. He is passionate about growing and investing in talent throughout the 6,000-person MedTech EMEA business, developing leaders to drive growth and increase impact for customers, patients and communities. Previously, Gavin served as Worldwide President, Ethicon Wound Closure & Healing, leading the global team and the market-leading wound closure portfolio. Prior to that, he spent four years in Mölnlycke serving as Executive Vice President, Commercial. Gavin has been a Board member of MedTech Europe for the past two years, working to drive improvements in the industry. Additionally, Gavin serves on the board of the Johnson & Johnson Foundation, a charitable organisation that focuses on keeping people well at every age and stage of life. Gavin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law from Carleton University, Canada, and an MBA from Queen’s University, Canada. He is Canadian by origin and currently lives in Switzerland.

Samih Al Mawass is the Divisional Vice President, Abbott Vascular for Europe, Middle East and Africa.     Samih embarked on his professional journey with Abbott at the end of 2007, becoming a part of the Sales and Marketing team. Since then, he has held various commercial leadership roles with increasing responsibilities.    Over his 25-year career to date, Samih has had the privilege of overseeing various markets in Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Japan. Prior to his current role, he was the Divisional Vice President of Abbott Vascular Japan where he also served as a board member of the American Medical Devices and Diagnostics Manufacturers’ Association.  Samih holds a MBA from IMD, Lausanne, Switzerland and started his career in different Sales and Marketing roles with Procter & Gamble and Nestle.   Samih has a strong passion for serving healthcare professionals and patients to ensure they have better access to innovation that improves patients’ outcomes and quality of life. 

Daniela Delledonne is the Vice-President & General Manager BD Biosciences EMEA. She joined BD in 2014 and served as the General Manager for Italy & Greece for seven years.  Before joining BD, Daniela has held various roles of increasing responsibility, including, three years with Hill-Rom as Managing Director in Italy, twelve years for Medtronic, leading multiple business units at a country level and leading strategic projects at an international level, three years for Sorin Biomedical Cardio as the global upstream product manager and two years in Covidien working in sales. In addition to her accomplishments in the corporate world, Daniela has served two terms as a chairwoman of the Italian Trade Association, Assobiomedica, followed by a two-year position as the Vice President of Strategies and Market Development at Confindustria Dispositivi Medici, representing companies operating in Italy in the medical device sector.  Since 2022, Daniela is an elected IVD Board Member of MedTech Europe, where she actively contributes in the Sustainability Board Task Force.   Daniela holds an Executive diploma from the Wharton Business School of Philadelphia, a diploma in Leadership from the Glasgow Caledonian University, a Master in Business Management from Cattolica University of Milan & ISTUD Business School, and a “best honours degree” in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies from Parma University.

Dominique Boulet has 25 years of experience in the medical devices and diagnostics industry 20-year tenure with Johnson and Johnson in roles including sales and marketing, business development, strategy and general management. He was most recently President and Chairman of J&J’s medical business in Germany and RVP for the DACH region; In 2016, he transitioned with the Cordis business to Cardinal Health as Vice President Cordis EMEA. With the transformation of Cordis into a standalone company and separating from Cardinal Health, he became President EMEA of Cordis and a member of the executive leadership team in November 2021. He has experience in wound management (AWC business), women’s health (Gynecare), surgery (Ethicon), sterilisation (ASP), CV (Cordis), electrophysiology (BW), orthopaedics/trauma (DePuy), Sports medicine, and many more. He is a Swiss and French citizen, passionate about outdoor sports in the Alps (ski and mountain-bike among others) and sailing.

Jean-Philippe is a board member of SIDIV, the French IVD trade professional association. He was elected for the first time in 2014, representing first Siemens Healthcare/Healthineers for 6 years, and now Werfen from 2020. He had the opportunity to represent twice his former company at the board of MedTech Europe. He is the General Manager of the French affiliate of Werfen. His role includes developing the Sales and Marketing strategy, overseeing daily business operations, hiring and managing staff, operating budgets. He has more than 22 years of experience in the IVD industry as he held different positions in sales for Roche Diagnostics France from 2000 to 2006 and afterwards in Marketing for Dade-Behring. From 2008 to 2020, he worked for Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics France, Sales and Marketing departments before becoming the Managing Director from 2014 to 2020. As a board member of SIDIV, Jean-Philippe is an actor in the definition of its strategy and the execution of its operational roadmap. He is, in particular, in charge of piloting the External Communication and HR Working Groups. In addition to his deep knowledge and expertise of the IVD sector, Jean-Philippe is a doctor in Pharmacy and PhD in biology from the University of Paris, France.

Bernard Colombo joined Roche in 2008 during the integration of Ventana Medical Systems. At Ventana, he had held various positions in Marketing, Sales and Support and, since 2006, assumed central responsibility for developing the company’s business in EMEA as Vice President and General Manager of Ventana Medical Systems. From 2008 to 2010, he spearheaded the acceleration and integration of the RTD (Roche Tissue Diagnostics) business for EMEA-LATAM. He was appointed Head of the EMEA Subregion North-West in the Diagnostics Division in 2010, based in Rotkreuz, Switzerland. In 2017, he was appointed General Manager for Roche Diagnostics France Management Centre, where he was responsible for the French Domestic, Maghreb and French Speaking Sub-Saharan African markets, before assuming his current position as Regional Head Roche Diagnostics EMEA/LATAM in November 2018. Bernard has extensive experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in Diagnostics, where he has worked for 34 years, having started at Boehringer Mannheim in 1984 and including 10 years at Bayer Diagnostics. He has lived and worked in France and Switzerland, and holds a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Claude Bernard Lyon 1 University in France.

Bill Doherty is a long-serving board member and former chair of the Irish Medtech Association. He currently chairs the IMA’s Code of Ethics Committee and leads its PR Taskforce. Bill served on the board of Eucomed during its merger with EDMA to form Medtech Europe and is currently a member of the Code Taskforce (Hypercare Team) established by Medtech Europe’s board to advise on Code implementation. Bill believes in the importance of national association participation at European level and has encouraged the Irish Medtech Association to become highly engaged with Medtech Europe through the different working groups. At national level, the Irish Medtech Association has been a key catalyst in fostering a vibrant medtech environment in Ireland directly employing 38,000 people, which is the highest per-capita in the EU and 6th largest in terms of absolute employment numbers. Medtech is a key pillar of Ireland’s economy accounting for 11% of total exports. Bill is Executive Vice President EMEA with Cook Medical and a member of the executive board of the parent company, and also sits on its Board Risk and Oversight Committee. Since joining Cook Medical in 1994 he has led and overseen significant structural and operational changes to its EMEA business. Bill is a strong advocate for transparency, sustainability and ethics in business and sponsors Cook Medical’s global CSR Programme.

Arkadiusz Grądkowski, as President of The Polish Chamber of Commerce of Medical Devices POLMED since 2020, steers Poland’s foremost organisation representing medical device manufacturers and distributors. His role expanded in 2023 as a board member of MedTech Europe.   Grądkowski’s career in healthcare includes significant contributions at The Polish Confederation Lewiatan, advising pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries and liaising with public authorities.  Previously, he was Deputy Director in the Department of Information on Medical Devices at the Office for Registration of Medicinal Products, Medical Devices and Biocidal Products. His efforts were crucial in amending the Polish Medical Devices Act and aligning it with EU regulations. Grądkowski represented Poland at the EU Competent Authorities for Medical Devices (CAMD) meetings and worked on European Commission twinning projects in Moldova and Macedonia, focusing on medical product and device trade laws.  Arkadiusz Grądkowski holds a Master’s degree in law from the Maria Skłodowska-Curie University in Lublin, combining legal expertise with a deep understanding of the medical devices sector. 

Peter Huntley holds a M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (1982) and a Ph.D. in Materials Science (1986) from the Technical University of Denmark.   He also holds a B.Sc. in Economics and Finance (1988) from Copenhagen Business School and joined the Young Managers Programme (1992) at INSEAD.  He joined the Danish offshore industry for the first decade of his career before taking a position in the Confederation of Danish Industry as head of Techno-industrial Policy Department. Peter held this position for a decade.  Peter Huntley became CEO for the Danish Pachaging Industry for more than a decade before Joining the Danish Medical Device Industry, in 2012. The association was rebranded as Medicoindustrien – Medtech Denmark.  Peter Huntley has been CEO of Medtech Denmark and a member of Medtech Europe’s National Association Council since 2012. He joined the Medtech Europe Board of Directors in 2021.  Peter Huntley represents the Danish medtech industry in the Danish Life Science Council and in the Danish HTA Council.  Peter is married with 3 children.   

Dr. phil. Marc-Pierre Möll has been CEO of the German Medical Technology Association (BVMed) in Berlin and CEO of BVMed-Academy since April 2019. In addition, he is a member of the BVMed board.  The graduated political scientist has many years of experience in healthcare politics. He headed the division “Government and Parliament” at the Association of Private Health Insurance Funds in Berlin from 2008 until 2019. Prior to that he had managed two MP’s offices as personal assistant in the German Bundestag for 17 years. 

Miroslav holds a medical degree from Charles’ University Prague, MUDr. (1989) and an MBA (2002) from the University of Pittsburgh. He worked in clinical (internal) medicine for nine years in the United Kingdom, Germany, and Czechia.   He has been in the medtech industry for 25 years. Joined Johnson&Johnson Medical in 1999 and soon became Director, Clinical Economic Outcomes Central Europe. After leaving JNJ in 2008 he became president of CzechMed and holds the position thus far.   He has experience with MedTech Europe ever since starting with JNJ, representing CzechMed as a member company in what was then Eucomed.   In 2003 -2004, he chaired the ENL – Eucomed Enlargement Taskforce working with industry representatives from countries soon to become EU members  Since 2008, he is representing CzechMed in the MedTech Europe National Associations Council.   Locally, in Czechia he has led CzechMed to become a member of the Industry Confederation, bringing it to centre stage of the social dialogue – government, industry and unions.  He successfully led the industry in filing a complaint with the Highest (Constitutional) Court challenging the reimbursement pathways of medical devices. After the complaint’s success in 2017, new legislation on prescription devices reimbursement was adopted in Czechia.   Born in 1962, he is married and has no children. 

Bachelor of Biology (University of Barcelona). Master in Alimentary Biotechnology for ETSIB (Superior Technical School of Engineers from Barcelona), Executive MBA for INESE and Superior Course of Organization and commercial Direction for the Chamber of Trade of Madrid. During lasts years Carlos has occupied positions of responsibility in marketing and sales as well as commercial management in several divisions in different companies of the sector of sanitary technology (Product Manager in Roche Diagnostics S.L., Business Unit Manager in Bayer Diagnostics S.L., Division Check Up Manager in Menarini Diagnostics S.L and Sales and Marketing Manager in Dade Behring S.A.) He is married with three children. Carlos joined FENIN 22 years ago as Director of the Barcelona office along and Secretary of IVD Sector and Secretary of Technology and Clinical Information Systems Sector.

Veronique Tordoff is Vice President, Head of Image Guided Therapy (IGT) Europe in Royal Philips.   Veronique began her professional career at Pfizer in France in 2001 as Product Manager in the Rheumatology, and then Neurology/Pain Therapy businesses. She joined Philips in 2006 as Market Intelligence Lead in the Philips Healthcare Global Headquarters in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. She subsequently held roles in Customer Experience, Marketing, Business Transformation and IT based in Japan and in the United Kingdom. During the last 4 years, she has been leading Image Guided Therapy business in Philips UK and then Europe region, spanning across Philips’ IGT systems and devices portfolio.  Veronique holds a Doctorate in Pharmacy from Auvergne University (Clermont-Ferrand, France) as well as a Master in Marketing Management from ESCP Europe business school (Paris, France).   Veronique is a member of the Europe leadership team and of the global Image Guided Therapy leadership team. Veronique has been elected as MTE Board member from December 2023. 

Dr. Martin Walger is managing director of the German IVD Association VDGH , representing 100 members  companies (IVD- and Life Science Research Industry). He joined VDGH in 2008. From 1995 to 2008 Martin Walger has been serving as director Personnel and Hospital organization for the German Hospital Federation DKG.  From 1993 to 1995 he worked for the Bundesknappschaft, part of the German  statutory health insurance. Previously he did research at the Center for Labour and Social issues (ZENTRAS). He is holding a degree in economics from the University of Trier, Germany. Born in 1962, Martin Walger is married with three children.

After few years in manufacturing, Pascal started his career in Sales & Marketing in the pharmaceutical and medical devices industry (Eli Lilly, Johnson & Johnson, GSK). He then moved to General Management positions of increased responsibility (Italy, UK, Europe).    In 2015, Pascal took the responsibility of the Northern and Central Europe Region at IPSEN and was an active member at EFPIA (European Market Committee and Central & Eastern Europe Task Force).    Pascal Waucquez joined bioMérieux in 2020 as Senior Vice President to lead the EME region (Europe, Middle East, Turkey, Russia) and manage the P&L of the Clinical Operations business unit. Leveraging his strong leadership and knowledge of the European healthcare market, he effectively contributes to the fight against infectious diseases in Europe, and in particular against COVID-19 and antimicrobial resistance.    Pascal’s holds a MsC in Chemical Engineering from Université Catholique de Louvain (Belgium) and an MBA from INSEAD (France).

Daniel White has been the Vice President of Sales at Cepheid since December 2022, overseeing strategic and commercial operations in Europe. Prior to that, he held multiple leadership and managerial roles since he joined the company in 2011, including as regional marketing director, U.K. managing director, and senior director of market access & government affairs. White is a certified Danaher Business Systems Leader, leading kaizens and continuous improvement of processes to enable efficiency and growth. White is a biomedical scientist by background and has more than 25 years of experience working in the in vitro diagnostics sector and the NHS. From 2018 onwards, he served on the board of the UK trade association BIVDA executive committee for three years, representing the wider IVD industry.

As Senior Director and General Manager for Europe South at medical technology company and champion of women’s health, Hologic, since 2021, Jose’s scope of responsibility is, among other countries, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Greece. Prior to joining Hologic, Jose spent six years working in international finance within prestigious companies such as Reuters, Citigroup Investment Banking and American Express. He also worked for over nine years at Johnson & Johnson, working in Spain, Portugal, Greece, Turkey and France as Finance & Operations Director for Iberia Diabetes Franchise, Sales Manager, Sales Director and General Manager. Jose holds a degree in Business Management from ESADE Business School (Barcelona, Spain), a Masters in International Management from HEC (Paris, France) and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the London Business School and New York University. He is an English, Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese and Catalan speaker. His role at Hologic aligns with his commitment to improving women’s health and as such, he is constantly advocating to put women’s health at the European health policy agenda.
