24th Management Committee meeting of the IMDRF in Berlin – Recap

Berlin hosted last week the 24th Management Committee (MC) meeting of the International Medical Device Regulators Forum (IMDRF): the presentations will become available in the coming days on the IMDRF website.
On behalf of the Global Medical Technology Alliance (GMTA), MedTech Europe has been involved in the preparation of this event, which was hosted by the European Commission (the EU is the 2023 Chair of the IMDRF MC).
On 25 September, the Joint IMDRF / Stakeholder (DITTA-GMTA) Workshop has focused on the Specialised Regulatory Pathways for devices intended for specific patient populations (orphan, pediatric, custom-made devices), innovative medical devices and regulatory toolboxes to foster innovation.
On 26 September, during the IMDRF Stakeholder Forum, GMTA presented the key role Digital Labels can play in streamlining access to information and reducing costs.
The conference was concluded by the info session, moderated by MedTech Europe, on the EU MDR amendment adopted in March 2023.
