A new Director for Digital Health joined MedTech Europe in October 2022

On the 24th of October 2022, MedTech Europe welcomed a new Director for Digital Health, Alexander Olbrechts, who will manage the Digital Health Team composed of 7 officers and managers. Alexander reports to Patrick Boisseau, Director General of Industry Strategic Initiatives.

Before joining MedTech Europe, Alexander Olbrechts was Business Group Lead Healthtech at Agoria (Belgium Federation for the Technology Industry), as well as Vice-Chair WG eHealth at Digital Europe and Member of the General Assembly at COCIR. Alexander acquired his professional experience in health technologies a as Product Manager and Business Unit Manager at Siemens Healthineers in the late 2010’s. Alexander is passionate about healthcare and new technologies.

The priorities of the Digital Health Team remain on the four major digital regulations impacting the MedTech sector, namely the Artificial Intelligence Act, the Data Act, the European Health Data Space and more recently the Cyber Resilience Act.
