MedTechWeek

As part of the industry wide initiative to promote the value of medical technologies, from 19-23 June, European MedTech Week will take place across Europe for the third time. Medtech is diagnosing, monitoring and treating virtually every disease or condition that affects us and for one week in June, experts in health and tech join forces to explore the role of medtech for delivering good quality healthcare. During this week, the medical technology industry will discuss with different stakeholders, such as governments, patients, doctors and carers and media about today’s and tomorrow’s challenges to keep people healthy and how medtech can help save and transform lives.

This year national associations and medtech companies across Europe, from Sweden to Italy, from Ireland to Dubai, provide platforms for discussions through a wide range of activities. Activities will range from conferences and symposia with national and local policymakers on themes like value-based procurement, patient safety, regulatory challenges for medtech SMEs, innovation, photo exhibitions, activities with medtech employees and many more. Furthermore, companies will open their sites in various places across Europe to explore how medtech is manufactured. Moreover, discussion will take place at national television and radio programmes as well as throughout social media channels!

Policy makers, as well as patients and healthcare professionals share their experiences and expectations for future healthcare and what role medtech can play.
