The Management Committee (MC) of the International Medical Device Regulators Forum (IMDRF) welcomes six new affiliate members, i.e., the regulatory authorities of Cuba (CECMED), Montenegro (CinMED), Egypt (EDA), Chile (ISP), Israel (MTIIR) and Chinese Taipei (TFDA). Similarly, the African Medical Device Forum (AMDF) has been recognized as a new Regional Harmonisation Initiative affiliated to the IMDRF.
These are just some of the outcomes of the IMDRF MC during the Closed Session meeting on 28-29 September in Berlin. A summary of all the decisions taken by the IMDRF MC is available in the Outcome Statement, while the slide decks used during the Berlin event are here.
Established in October 2011, the IMDRF is a forum for medical device regulators from different jurisdictions who have agreed to work together to advance international regulatory harmonisation and convergence in the field of medical devices.
