MedTech Europe article featured in AMR Control 2017
Posted on 28.09.2017
Earlier this month, the 2017 edition of Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Control has been published, featuring an article from CEO Serge Bernasconi on the importance of medtech in fighting AMR.
The subject of AMR has been high on the political agendas both in the EU and globally in the past few years, as it is considered a major public health threat. Medical technologies can help prevent, identify and monitor resistance throughout the patient pathway, however their uptake is still a challenge despite the value they bring about. The article elaborates how this problem could be tackled.
AMR Control is a publication of the World Alliance Against Antibiotic Resistance (WAAAR) and aims to provide a coherent picture of the latest thinking on developments, solutions and policy by bringing together contributors around the world on this topic. The booklet is circulated to, among others, all major multilaterals (WHO, World Bank etc), policy-makers, health ministers, G7 and G20 groupings and NGOs.
