MedTech Europe at GHWP Online Annual Meeting

Jesus Rueda Rodriguez, MedTech Europe’s Director General International Affairs, will intervene at two sessions of the Global Harmonization Working Party (GHWP) Online Annual Meeting (30 November – 01 December 2021). He will first provide updates on behalf of the Global Medical Technology Alliance (GMTA) at a session featuring other international organizations such as the WHO. Afterwards, he will join a panel on the crucial topic of global convergence and reliance on medical technologies regulations, presenting the activities of MedTech Europe in that field.

Established in 1996 as Asian Harmonization Working Party (AHWP), GHWP is a non-profit organization with medical device regulatory authorities and industry experts. Engaging with international organizations such as WHO and the International Medical Device Regulators Forum (IMDRF), GHWP studies and recommends ways to harmonize medical device regulations.
