MedTech Europe calls for strong collaboration in the European Health Data Space Implementation

The European Health Data Space (EHDS) Regulation was officially published in the Official Journal of the EU on 5 March 2025—a milestone celebrated by the European Commission at a high-level conference on 18 March 2025. To ensure the success of the EHDS, MedTech Europe calls on policymakers to ensure strong stakeholder collaboration from the onset of the work on the regulation implementation, for commitment to harmonisation of its application and to create a workable framework for Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. This will be key to building trust and acceptance, ensuring effectiveness, and accelerating adoption which will ultimately drive innovation and competitiveness in the EU health sector.​
