MedTech Europe joined Stakeholder Cybersecurity Certification Group

Posted on 01.07.2020

The 2019 EU Cybersecurity Act empowered the European Commission to create EU cybersecurity certification schemes covering ICT products, services and processes. The Stakeholder Cybersecurity Certification Group (SCCG) was established in 2020 to advise the Commission and ENISA, the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity. Supported by the Cybersecurity Working Group, MedTech Europe joined the SCCG and its initial meeting on 24 June 2020 to discuss the rules and formalities of the SCCG, as well as strategic priorities and candidate schemes. The meeting agenda and the membership of the SCCG are available on the Commission website.

In May, MedTech Europe had already joined ENISA’s eHealth Security Experts Group of technical experts on healthcare information systems.
