MedTech Europe participates in ECHA consultation on UV-328

Following the proposal to include UV-328 into the Annex A to the Stockholm Convention, the European Chemicals Agency launched a call for comments and evidence on its draft screening report according to REACH Article 69(2) and gathered information on four key areas:
- Uses of the four phenolic benzotriazoles in articles and their potential releases;
- Alternatives for these substances and issues related to their substitution;
- Waste management of articles containing these substances; and
- Specific exemption that might be needed if uses are restricted. MedTech Europe provided its input to the consultation following in depth discussion and data collection efforts with our membership over the summer period.
