New Conference Vetting System features

As of 1 January 2023, two new processes will consolidate the Conference Vetting System:

Firstly, all event submissions must be made no later than 50 days prior to the event starting date via the online Ethical MedTech submission form. Submissions made after the 50-day deadline will automatically receive a final status of “not assessed/late submission”. No exceptions will be allowed. Submitters are encouraged again to submit their events as early as possible in the system. The new rule will be tested over a six months period minimum.

Secondly, the outcome (accepted/rejected) of the Compliance Panel’s decisions on appeals will be published on the Ethical MedTech website in two distinct sections: under the “Appeals” area and as an additional data point on each specific event page, accessible via the event unique identifier (EMT number). The identities of appealing parties and the full text of the decision will not be published.
