New working group on cybersecurity

Posted on 02.04.2020

More and more medical devices are connected to other devices, to networks and to the internet to improve healthcare delivery. These same features also increase the risk of cybersecurity threats. To address these issues, MedTech Europe has formed a Cybersecurity Working Group (CWG) to convene cybersecurity experts to engage with European institutions, including the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA), to offer industry input on relevant policy matters, and build the medtech industry’s voice.

In its inaugural meeting, the CWG also finalised the MedTech Europe response to the proposed Medical Device Manufacturer IoT Code of Conduct of the Global Digital Health Partnership. The response is available here.
