News regarding the French anti-gift law

There has been an update with regards to the French anti-gift legislation (“loi anti-cadeaux, Acte 3”). In particular, they clarified the amounts below which the benefits are considered to be of negligible value (“valeur négligeable”) and therefore escape the application of the “anti-gift” system as well as the amounts above which a grant agreement is subject to authorisation and no longer to declaration. The changes are effective as of 1 October 2020.

The anti-gift law is relevant for companies active in France and/or that work with French HCPs.
