OECD: Revised Recommendation on Bribery and a new study now availble

Posted on 02.04.2019

In March 2019, the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) adopted the revised Recommendation of the Council on Bribery and Officially Supported Export Credits. The updated Recommendation, which replaces the 2006 Recommendation, is now publicly available on the OECD website (in English and French).

Further, they also just published the new study Resolving Foreign Bribery Cases with Non-Trial Resolutions, which is available here. The study underlines that non-trial resolutions, also referred to as settlements, have been the predominant means of resolving foreign bribery and other related offences since the entry into force of the Anti-Bribery Convention 20 years ago. It is the first cross-country examination of the different types of resolutions that can be used to resolve foreign bribery cases.
