To ensure and improve patient and clinician access to innovative, reliable, and effective medical technologies, it is often necessary for Companies to engage third parties to assist in the marketing, sale, and/or distribution of the Companies’ products or services. It is essential that Companies’ interactions with SMIs, as well as SMIs’ activities on behalf of Companies (including SMI interactions with HCPs and government officials), are conducted pursuant to all applicable legal requirements and comply with ethical standards equivalent to those in the applicable Industry Codes of Ethics
