Angelique Balguid

Dr. Angelique Balguid leads the global Neurovascular Portfolio at Royal Philips and has spearheaded an enterprise-wide strategy for improving stroke care across the patient care pathway. She has extensive experience and expertise with the cardiovascular space. She holds a PhD in cardiovascular biomechanics, from the Biomedical engineering faculty at the Eindhoven University of Technology. She transitioned from an academic career to a 15+ year tenure in the healthcare industry, and served various clinical, innovation and marketing leadership positions at Philips global and regional offices. Additionally, she holds an advisory board seat at the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering at the Eindhoven University of Technology to foster collaboration between academia and industry.

In her current role, she is driving the advocacy efforts for better stroke care, and holds the Philips seat as founding member of the Global Stroke Action Coalition. She collaborates extensively with the World Stroke Organisation, other key Stroke Societies, and industry partners globally.
