MedTech Europe joins newly formed European Alliance for Value in Health

MedTech Europe has joined the European Alliance for Value in Health, launched on 16 November at the occasion of this year’s ICHOM (virtual) conference.

In total, 11 European associations form the European Alliance for Value in Health. The Alliance represents a broad group of European associations ranging from patients, hospitals to regional health authorities as well as life-science industries. Together, they strive to actively advance the transformation towards value-based, sustainable, and people-centred health systems across Europe.

The COVID-19 pandemic has put health systems under severe stress and added to the already existing pressures stemming from ageing populations and chronic diseases. To meet these challenges head on, the members of the Alliance believe that health systems need to invest in what creates value for patients, healthcare professionals, healthcare providers and the society as whole.

The Alliance will issue opinions on current health policy topics, bring together members to network and exchange views, and provide a hub for knowledge.
