VODI Webinar: Harnessing the value of diagnostic information in the ‘new normal’

Posted on 09.09.2020

In the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, the role of testing is being pushed front and center. Many will recall one of the earliest recommendations from the Director General of the WHO during the pandemic: test, test, test. Since then, diagnostic information has been critical for crisis management to handle the pandemic during its peak. Currently it continues to play an indispensable role as countries across Europe are phasing out their confinement strategies, re-opening their economies and returning to what can be called a ‘new normal’.

In the context of MedTech Week 2020 , MedTech Europe will host a webinar to reflect on healthcare system’s responses to the pandemic, identifying lessons learnt on how to make better use of diagnostic information. MedTech Europe seeks to bring together stakeholders with a wide range of expertise (infectious and non-infectious diseases) including patients’ organisations, policymakers, healthcare professional representatives and industry alike. The aim is to engage in an interactive discussion on how the future of information-enabled, patient-centered healthcare should look like. The webinar will take place in the morning of 7 October 2020 (by invitation-only). Stay tuned for our follow-up communication!
