Ensuring innovation and legal certainty in the future EU Merger Guidelines

MedTech Europe has contributed to the European Commission’s consultation on the revision of the EU Merger Guidelines, setting out the medical technology sector’s perspective on how mergers should be assessed in innovation-driven and highly regulated markets.

While supporting the objective of keeping EU merger control effective and future-proof, MedTech Europe urges policymakers to ensure that forward-looking assessments remain grounded in robust evidence and do not create unnecessary barriers to investment, partnerships and innovation that ultimately benefit patients and healthcare systems across Europe.
