MedTech Europe participates in the European Data Protection Board consultation on pseudonymisation Guidelines

MedTech Europe has submitted its response to the European Data Protection Board’s (EDPB) public consultation on the draft Guidelines 01/2025 on pseudonymisation. The contribution highlights key industry considerations, including the need for a risk-based approach, clearer distinctions between pseudonymisation and anonymisation, and proportionate compliance requirements. MedTech Europe welcomes the EDPB’s work on this important topic and supports a framework that ensures strong data protection while enabling responsible health data use and innovation.
