Digital health has proven benefits in reducing the cost of healthcare services, hospitalisation rates and length of hospital stays (ex. telemedicine is projected to save the global healthcare industry more than €20bn in costs by 2025, rising from almost €11bn in 2021). To enable the wider adoption and uptake of digital health services, MedTech Europe strives to showcase the value of DHTs and to support the development and implementation of mechanisms to enhance their timely access – while enabling the digitalisation of healthcare in Europe for the establishment of the right environment for their deployment.

Digital health technologies (DHTs) present an opportunity for better, safer, and more efficient healthcare delivery systems. For instance, digital health technologies enable remote patient monitoring, improving access to healthcare and reducing access inequalities.

Officer Value & Innovation-based Access
Panagiotis is Digital Health Access Officer at MedTech Europe. Under the Value and Innovation–based Access (VIA) team, he supports and represents MedTech Europe in meetings and events, while helping MedTech Europe’s members establish a value-based vision. Working with both the Digital Health and VIA teams, he works on Digital Health & Data projects including but not limited to supporting the Digital Health Reimbursement activities.
Panagiotis joined MedTech Europe in August 2021 as a Market Data and Value & Innovation-based Access Intern.
He believes that innovation and technology are key for the improvement of patient outcomes. Therefore, his goal is to foster value-based access to innovation and digital health technologies within Europe’s member states and support MedTech Europe’s members make their technologies available for patients.
Panagiotis holds a degree in Healthcare Management from The American College of Greece and he is an International Honours Program graduate from Stanford University.
He is a native Cypriot speaking Greek and English fluently, with a basic understanding of Spanish and French. In his free time, he enjoys playing Bass. He is also a water sports enthusiast doing mainly scuba diving and kitesurfing.
