

Rangarajan Sampath
Director of Science & TechnologyDr. Rangaranjan leads Ibis’ genomics efforts in microbial detection and diagnosis and is responsible for applications development, validation, data analysis and reporting for the Ibis Universal Microbial Detection Platform. His research interests include pathogen discovery, epidemiological surveillance and infectious disease diagnostics. He has been the lead genomics investigator on several programs that are related to bioinformatics, drug discovery and biological-warfare agent detection and treatment and has published over 60 research articles and has 15 patents in related fields. From 1995 to 1997 he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Indiana University School of Medicine where he studied cell signal transduction pathways. He completed his Ph.D. in chemical engineering from Rice University, Texas, USA, in 1995 and B.S. in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai, India in 1989.
